Horrible Movies

Back in high school we used to make it a goal to try and find the worst possible movies. I remember strolling the isles of Blockbuster, or even further back, our local mom and pop video store, Video Galaxy, looking for a VHS cover photo that not only was for a movie that I'd never heard of, but just looked terrible. Most of the movies have been forgotten about, but there is one movie that will always stick out in my mind as being so painfully awful, that it was awesome. Can something be so low on the negative scale that it wraps back around onto the far end of positive? The movie that I'm referring to is 1989s Meet the Feebles.

Yes, that does say Peter Jackson's Meet the Feebles. I honestly can't explain his career progression. The best way I can describe this movie is that it is The Muppets with an R, or NC-17, rating. "Heidi, the star of the "Meet The Feebles Variety Hour" discovers her lover Bletch, The Walrus, is cheating on her, and with all the world waiting for the show the assorted co-stars must contend with their own problems. These include drug addiction, extortion, robbery, disease, Drug dealing, and even murder. While this is happening the love between two of the stars is threatened by the devious Trevor the Rat, who wishes to exploit the young starlet for use in his porno movie business." IMDB Synopsis
